  3.      difficulty; the same alphabet is used now for English, 
  4.      French, Italian, German, Spanish, Turkish, Polish, Dutch, 
  5.      Czech, Croatian, Welsh, Finnish, Hungarian and others, 
  6.      and has derived from the alphabet once used by the 
  7.      ancient Hebrews, Phoenicians, Aramaeans, Greeks, 
  8.      Etruscans and Romans.
  9.           Thanks to the simplicity of the alphabet, writing has 
  10.      become very common; it is no longer a more or less 
  11.      exclusive domain of the priestly or other privileged 
  12.      classes, as it was in Egypt, or Mesopotamia, or China. 
  13.      Education has become largely a matter of reading and 
  14.      writing, and is possible for all. The fact that alphabetic 
  15.      writing has survived with relatively little change for three 
  16.      and a half millenniums, notwithstanding the introduction
